Right-hander Jhony Brito got through another scoreless start, propping up Triple-A El Paso for a 7-1 win on Sunday over visiting Reno.

Brito (1.32 ERA) was an out shy of qualifying for the win, striking out five over 4⅔ innings. He allowed three hits and three walks and threw 52 of his 77 pitches for strikes.

The 28-year-old Brito has a 2.61 ERA over 38 innings across stops at three levels, which include two other starts at Double-A San Antonio in which he did not yield an earned run.

Brito is ramping up after losing all of 2025 to an elbow reconstruction.

Right-hander Evan Fitterer (2-2, 3.40 ERA) earned the win with a run allowed over 3⅓ innings. Right-hander Alek Jacob (4.11 ERA) struck out a batter in a scoreless ninth.

Third baseman Pablo Reyes (.949 OPS) doubled twice and designated hitter Nick Pratto (.796 OPS) doubled and drove in two runs.

Second baseman Dylan Grego (1.217 OPS) went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Left fielder Carlos Rodriguez (.760 OPS) went 1-for-5 with a double and two RBIs to extend his on-base steak to 30.

El Paso is 35-40.

RF Braedon Karpathios (.742 OPS) doubled twice and scored a run. 1B Albert Fabian (.624 OPS) went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. SS Francisco Acuña (.660 OPS) went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

 

HIGH SINGLE-A FORT WAYNE (29-40)

TinCaps 6, South Bend 2: LF Alex McCoy (.887 OPS) went 3-for-4 with his 12th homer. 1B Jack Costello (.744 OPS) drove in two runs on two hits, including his seventh homer. 3B Justin DeCriscio (.757 OPS), SS Wyatt Hoffman (.498 OPS) and DH Zach Evans (.650 OPS) each had a double. LHP Jamie Hitt (5.26 ERA) allowed two runs in six innings in the start.

 

LOW SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (39-30)

San Jose 4, Storm 3: SS Jorge Quintana (.640 OPS) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs, a walk and a run scored. Quintana also swiped two bases for 11 on the seasons.  3B Bradley Frye (.712 OPS) and LF Conner Westenburg (.737 OPS) both had doubles. RHP Carlos Medina (4.78 ERA) allowed three runs in two innings in the start.
