Electric.

That’s the atmosphere soccer fans are expecting when the United States men’s national team comes to play a knockout round next month in Santa Clara.

Tens of thousands of fans have been watching the World Cup matches and rooting on their homes teams on big screen televisions at viewing parties throughout the Bay Area.

“The energy is going to be electric no matter who they’re playing,” soccer fan Reno Arzate said of the USMNT playing in the Bay Area. “It’s going to be amazing. I’m looking forward to it.”

With the highly-anticipated match inching closer, the resale cost of buying a ticket now ranges around $3,000 or more for the July 1 game.
