A Sacramento family is pleading for help to find Richard McClintic, a 59-year-old man who has been missing since Oct. 25, according to Sacramento police. McClintic is nonverbal and has cerebral palsy, which limits his mobility and requires medication, his family said. “He can’t really walk more than maybe 25 to 50 steps without having to use a scooter,” nephew Ryan Klagenberg said. He added that McClintic likely has run out of essential medication. Asked how critical it is, Klagenberg said, “He has to have it to live. He has to have it to live.”Family members have posted flyers at his Natomas apartment complex and canvassed the neighborhood, hoping someone has seen him. “A person in his condition and with his disability to be out there in the elements. It’s just tough,” Klagenberg said, calling the disappearance “100% out of character.” He described McClintic as “a fiery guy, funny, fun to be around. I love the guy. And he’s a great guy.”Police said McClintic was last seen wearing a yellow Pittsburgh Steelers sweatshirt and blue jeans. He lives with a longtime caregiver, and the family says he would periodically check in with them.“We’re doing as much as we can, calling the hospital, the bus company, the company that makes his voice box,” Klagenberg said. “We’re going to let the police do their jobs.”Sacramento police said the investigation is ongoing and that the information released so far could change. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Sacramento Police Department.See more coverage of top California stories here | Download our app | Subscribe to our morning newsletter | Find us on YouTube here and subscribe to our channel
