Motorcyclist in critical condition after Sunday morning collision near Fulton and Channing | Crime and Safety

A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a vehicle collision near Fulton Street and Channing Way early Sunday morning, according to the Berkeley Police Department.

First responders arrived at the scene of the collision around 12 a.m. on the 2400 block of Fulton Street. The motorcyclist was “found unconscious and suffering from severe head injuries,” according to BPD officer Byron White.

He was transported to a local hospital by the Berkeley Fire Department, where he remains in “critical condition,” White said.

BPD’s Fatal Accident Investigation Team is investigating the incident.
