A doctor in Riverside will lose his medical license and register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to sexual battery charges, police said Wednesday.

Samer Sannoufi was identified as a suspect in an investigation into a possible sexual assault at Timeless Skin Care Clinic on Brockton Avenue that launched on June 13, 2023, according to the Riverside Police Department. During that investigation, detectives say they also learned of a similar report filed against Sannoufi in Arizona in May 2012.

More victims, who accused Sannoufi of sexual assault or inappropriate behavior while they were under his care, came forward following the RPD putting out a press release, the department said.

Sannoufi was arrested and released on bail, but was later rearrested following additional reports, police said.

On June 8, Sannoufi pled guilty to three counts of sexual battery by fraudulent misrepresentation, according to the department. In addition to losing his medical license and registering as a sex offender, his sentence also requires him to be put on probation for two years, complete a sex offender treatment program and pay victim restitution.
