Nike and Nordstrom European Soccer Café at The Grove — June 24 to July 3

Nordstrom transforms the mezzanine bar at its Grove location into Le Café at Bar Verde in collaboration with Nike — a European-inspired café that aims to connect Angelenos to soccer culture and the intimacy of old neighborhood haunts. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through July 3, the summer pop up offers refreshments, light bites and a strong sense of community.
Phantom of the Opera – June 24 to August 9

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s world-renowned musical kicks off its summer run in Los Angeles at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, where it will stay until August 9. The iconic cast includes Isaiah Bailey as The Phantom, Jordan Lee Gilbert as Christine Daaé and Daniel Lopez as Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny. Tickets start at $47 online.

The DTLA Alliance presents Downtown L.A.’s 18th annual Dog Day at Maguire Gardens at the Los Angeles Central Library. From 4 to 8 p.m., dog owners and their furry friends can enjoy local vendors, doggy portraits, caricatures and live music from Reverend Doctor in celebration of the neighborhood and local community.
Dom Pérignon x EN Japanese Brasserie – June 25-26

The legendary and now-closed New York restaurant EN Japanese Brasserie returns for one weekend in Los Angeles to honor the release of three Dom Pérignon vintages. For two days at James Fuentes Gallery, a select number of guests can experience the culinary delights of the brasserie’s founder, Reika Alexander, as well as enjoy live music and performances.
Chef Joseph Geiskopf Rokusho Residency – June 25-28

Chef Joseph Geiskopf, the culinary brains behind traveling dining concept On’ry and an alum of The French Laundry, is stationed at the Hollywood Japanese restaurant Rokusho for a four-night residency. The collaboration features menu highlights of local tuna and hokkaido scallop with lychee, as well as several new cocktails debuted by Rokusho’s head mixologist. Reservations can be made through OpenTable.
World Cup Festivities – June 25-28

World Cup celebrations continue in Los Angeles at Union Station, the city’s designated free fan zone for the weekend. Angelenos can view the matches, enjoy live music and dine from a lineup of iconic food trucks. Fans can also enjoy the InterContinental Hotel’s watch parties at Spire 73, the tallest open-air bar in the Western Hemisphere, at 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. In addition to evening match broadcasts, the rooftop lounge will also offer DJ sets and light bites from around the globe.
Aesop Queer Library – June 26-28

Aesop’s sixth annual literary initiative returns to its Larchmont store location to celebrate LGBTQ+ voices through complimentary book offerings from queer authors. In honor of Pride Month and in partnership with the ACLU Foundation, shoppers can browse and select titles from literary titans including Audre Lourde, James Baldwin, Torrey Peters, Ocean Vuong and more.
Backyard BBQ at Maydan Market – June 27

West Adams’ Maydan Market kicks off its monthly backyard BBQ culinary series on Saturday, spotlighting Persian flavors on the back patio from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy free charcoal-grilled kebabs and seasonal produce by reserving a spot or simply walking in.

From 7 to 11 p.m., the Santa Monica Proper Hotel’s Canela Lounge transforms into a Condesa Gin tasting experience, hosted by a mixologist from the award-winning Mexico City gin brand. Guests can enjoy a live DJ and speciality cocktails available for purchase.
Good Boy & Friends Food and Wine Festival – June 27

The fifth annual wine and food festival returns to the Arts District from 5 p.m. to midnight at François Ghebaly and its Night Gallery Campus, offering more than 60 wineries and some of L.A.’s best restaurants and pop-ups. Tickets start at $65, with a VIP option for $165 and a non-alcoholic ticket for $35.

Celebrated director and choreographer Chris Emile presents this one-night-only experimental opera — inspired by Doris Payne and the 1996 film Set It Off — at Inglewood’s historic Indoor Swapmeet in collaboration with No)One. Art House. Named after the Latin phrase for “wheel of fortune,” Rota Fortunae explores themes of survival, fortune and Black womanhood across five acts and a genre-bending live score. The show runs from 7:30 to 9 p.m. with tickets starting at $45.
Sender One Anniversary Celebration – June 27

Indoor rock climbing facility Sender One celebrates its 14-year anniversary with The Crux Competition at its flagship LAX location from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bouldering competition offers different categories for various skill levels — with a $2,000 cash prize for the most advanced winner — as well as food trucks, vendors, live music, raffle prizes and beer. Sender One members can register for $18 and non-members, for $25.
CicLAvia–Leimert Park meets Expo Park – June 28

Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., CicLAvia transforms Crenshaw and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevards into a 3.6-mile, car-free open street connecting Leimert Park to Expo Park. The free event includes three programming hubs featuring family-friendly activities, as well as free water stations, bike repairs and pedicab rides.
