Returned checks: $25 each

The county also established disposal fees for treated wood waste. Railroad ties will cost $17.94 per tie to dispose of, while other treated wood waste will be charged $179.36 per ton.

Residents disposing of dead animals will pay $119.57 per animal, with additional charges for multiple animals or those requiring special handling. County officials noted that dead animals originating outside Kern County will not be accepted at county waste facilities.
