Pedestrian fatally struck near Butterscotch Way in Sacramento

(FOX40.COM) — One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Monday evening in Sacramento, the Sacramento Police Department said.

According to police, the collision occurred near the intersection of Sheldon Road and Butterscotch Way around 6:30 p.m.

Responding officers found a man with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Sacramento Fire Department Captain Justin Sylvia said the pedestrian died from their injuries.
