The Sparkletts building, a white, Moorish Revival-style complex that served as a bottling plant for nearly 100 years, has become the city’s latest historic landmark. The City Council on Wednesday approved Historic-Cultural Monument status for the distinctive 1929 building in the 4500 block of E. Lincoln Avenue, on the Highland Park-Eagle Rock border. The plant closed a year ago, and the bid to make it a monument appeared about eight months after that. The Eastsider
