The fire had already spread to a neighboring home when crews arrived.
Crews immediately began attacking the fire while also preventing the flames from spreading further to the neighboring home.
Overhead power lines fell onto a metal chain-link fence, creating an additional hazard.
Firefighters say PG&E crews were able to de-energize the lines.
A total of 30 firefighters arrived, including crews from Fresno County Fire.
The vacant home was deemed a total loss.
The neighboring homes sustained minor damage, temporarily displacing two residents.
No injuries were reported.
Fresno Fire officials say the fire was intentionally set and are investigating it as arson.
