The St. Louis Blues acquired center Mason McTavish from the Anaheim Ducks for the 15th and 29th picks in Friday’s 2026 NHL Draft, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman announced.
The Ducks used the No. 15 selection on Saginaw Spirit winger Nikita Klepov. He led the OHL with 97 points in 67 games last season.
McTavish, the 2021 No. 3 pick, fell out of favor with the Ducks after regressing with 41 points in 75 games in 2025-26. He set career highs in goals (22), assists (30), and points (52) the year prior.
The 23-year-old tallied a goal and five assists in 10 appearances this postseason. He was a healthy scratch for two playoff games.
McTavish and the Ducks endured a lengthy contract stalemate last offseason before agreeing to a six-year deal with a $7-million cap hit in late September.
