Re “Bob Dylan’s Father’s Day concert in San Diego quietly embraced the darkness” (June 22): I just read George Varga’s review of the San Diego Dylan concert. He encapsulated my entire experience at the Palm Desert concert the night before. The distinctive sound produced by Dylan and his cohesive musicians was musical genius. There were also some “walkouts” in Palm Desert who mistakenly felt Dylan owed them a 1964 concert. Dylan never performs for this group. Too bad they could not recognize the privilege they were afforded on this magical night.
