THE WEST SACRAMENTO BEARS YOUTH FOOTBALL CHEER AND DANCE PROGRAM. ALL THE PROCEEDS AND EVERYTHING THAT WE DO GOES TOWARDS THE ALL THE ATHLETES IN OUR COMMUNITY. Safe and sane fireworks booths open in West Sacramento
Safe and sane fireworks sales officially began Sunday in West Sacramento, with booths opening at noon to help residents prepare for Fourth of July celebrations.

Safe and sane fireworks sales officially began Sunday in West Sacramento, with booths opening at noon to help residents prepare for Fourth of July celebrations. Uriah Clark, who oversees one of the booths for the West Sacramento Bears Youth Football, Cheer, and Dance program, explained that the proceeds from the booth directly benefit young athletes in the community. “All the proceeds and everything that we do goes towards all the athletes in our community,” he said. The city of West Sacramento has permitted eight booths to sell safe and sane fireworks this year. Safe and sane fireworks can be sold from noon on June 28th through midnight on July 4th. Fireworks may only be used from July 4ththrough July 6th. Customers were eager to purchase fireworks, with some waiting before the booths were even set up. “First come, first served. You got to get it before it runs out. And besides, I may come back,” Michael Whittington said. “The more noise and the more sparks and the more light, the better. So, yeah, we’re here to get the biggest pack and their biggest finale item.”Clark highlighted how the fireworks booth will help local families save money. “Because we got this, we actually were able to drive down registration,” Clark said. “At the end of the day, right, like we’re community servants. This is what we’re supposed to do.
