Fresno Bully Rescue is a volunteer-run dog rescue dedicated to saving as many Bully-breed dogs in California as possible, but one stray dog has been capturing his rescuers’ hearts since the moment he arrived. General is a 6-year-old Pit Bull mix with joy and affection to spare, and he somehow already knew training and commands when he arrived from the streets.

Now this adoptable dog is ready to show off for his forever person or family! TV news anchor Vanessa Villafuerte featured General during a special ‘Fun Friday’ segment on CBS 47 Fresno on June 27, and even she couldn’t resist his big, handsome face. He’s an absolute ham!

What a lover boy! General may look tough on the outside, but it takes all of five seconds for him to prove what an affectionate pup he truly is. No wonder he’s one of Bridgette Boothe’s favorite dogs at the rescue!

“That sweet boy has the best mush face,” commenter @twistedbiscuitball agreed. “And the most perfect floppy ears.” From his sweet face to his heart-melting full-body hugs, everything about this dog is oh-so-lovable.

Other commenters, like @mfn_wayward357, can’t believe such a happy-go-lucky dog hasn’t found his perfect home yet. They said, “He’s just a big ol’ baby! Surely someone needs a super-sized cuddle buddy,” and if you ask me, they’re definitely onto something!

Even though it looked like Vanessa was falling in love, this well-trained General is still waiting patiently to be adopted. Luckily, he’d be a perfect fit in a wide variety of homes, so his pool of potential adopters is vast. Could he be the new addition your family needs?

All About This Adoptable Dog

General first arrived at Fresno Bully Rescue in mid-May after spending time at Madera Animal Shelter. He was found as a stray in the small Central California town, but clearly, he wasn’t always on his own.

“One of General’s favorite things is showing off what he knows,” his adoption profile explains. “He appears to have had some training in the past and knows several commands, which he is always proud to demonstrate for anyone willing to watch. It’s clear that at some point in his life, someone spent time teaching him, and he enjoys the attention that comes with showing off his skills.”
