OAKLAND CITY, Ind. (WFIE) – We are waiting to hear more from law enforcement officials about an incident earlier today at New Lake Campground near Oakland City.
There have been some earlier reports about a 17 year old male swimmer that went under the water and could not be found. That was just before 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
We know Patoka Township Fire Dive Team was sent out to the scene and that they were searching on the northwest side of New Lake.
No word yet about the identity of the teenager. Officials with DNR are set to give a news briefing about what happened.
