As the Fresno Falcons continue assembling their roster for the 2026 season, the team has signed two veteran goaltenders with extensive professional hockey experience.
Austyn Roudebush reunites with Falcons head coach Iain Duncan after playing for him with the Mentor Ice Breakers in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. He also reunites with Falcons CEO Parker Moskal.
“I started my professional career in the United States,” Roudebush said in a news release. “It was my first experience playing pro hockey in the States, and they settled me in really well.”
Roudebush, 33, played under Duncan during the 2019-20 FPHL season.
He is the all-time wins leader in the SPHL, formerly known as the Southern Professional Hockey League, compiling 127 victories over six seasons with Roanoke, Birmingham and Knoxville.
The 6-foot-3 netminder helped Roanoke capture the 2023 President’s Cup championship and was named the postseason’s Most Valuable Player.
The Falcons also signed goaltender Nick Grabko, who has professional experience in both the American Hockey League and ECHL.
Grabko played for the Idaho Steelheads before joining the Toledo Walleye in the ECHL. He also appeared in one game for the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.
The signings continue the Falcons’ roster build ahead of their inaugural season.
On June 24, the team added forward Austin Albrecht and goaltender Dysen Skinner, both of whom were selected in the expansion draft.
