Driver slams into parked car, causing it to fatally strike pedestrian, Sacramento police say

Sacramento police are investigating a hit-and-run crash last week that left a pedestrian dead.Police said a driver struck a parked vehicle in the 3400 block of Ramona Avenue, south of Folsom Boulevard and near Granite Regional Park, on June 23. The impact of the collision caused the parked vehicle to hit a man. The driver who caused the crash fled the scene and officers later found the vehicle abandoned, police said. Police learned on Monday that the injured pedestrian died at the hospital.
