FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A sold-out crowd packed the Rainbow Ballroom in downtown Fresno for the watch party to see Mexico beat Ecuador 2-0 in the knockout round of the FIFA World Cup.

Thunderstorms delayed kickoff in Mexico City, but Mexico’s win had 1,200 fans on their feet and making lots of noise for their team.

FOX26 News Reporter Dania Romero was at the watch party and spoke to the manager, who said he plans to hold more watch parties.

You can watch the United States take on Bosnia and Herzegovina Wednesday afternoon at 5 p.m. on FOX26.
