Bakersfield City School District to offer free summer meal pickups July 6 and 20

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Families in Bakersfield will have two chances in July to pick up free meals for children during the summer break.

The Bakersfield City School District’s Nutrition Services Department will host free food distribution events on July 6 and July 20 at Stiern Middle School on Morning Drive. Eligible families can pick up 10 days’ worth of meals for children ages 2 to 18.

Children do not have to be present, but a parent or guardian must verify the names of the children receiving the meals.
