A brush fire is burning near the Castaic area on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Crews responded to the “Chloe Fire” near Highway 126 off Chiquita Canyon Road in Val Verde at around 4 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The blaze grew to 205 acres with a moderate rate of spread before its forward progress was stopped around 9:40 p.m., the LACoFD said. It was 23% contained.
No evacuations were in effect, and no injuries have been reported.
The LACoFD and the Ventura County Fire Department both responded to the incident.
