The San Diego Police Department is investigating a death in Point Loma after a body was found on the roadway on Thursday.
Police reported the death on the 4400 block of Nimitz Blvd. around 6:18 a.m. Officials said several road closures are impacting the area.
Nimitz Blvd. will be shut down in both directions between West Point Loma Blvd. and Tennyson St., including the Nimitz Blvd. on-ramp from Famosa Blvd.
San Diego Police Homicide detectives are at the scene conducting an investigation, and the road closures are expected to last several hours.
