OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (News 10) – A driver is expected to face charges in connection with a crash that killed a young Pontiac family on I-75 in Oakland County on Wednesday.
The crash happened around 9 p.m. on southbound I-75 near Grange Hall Road near Holly, according to Michigan State Police.
MSP officials say two adults and two children were killed in the crash. Authorities have not released many details about the crash, which left the southbound lanes of the freeway closed for several hours.
WDIV in Detroit reports Tieree Powell and Zakiera Powell — both 24 years old — were killed, along with their two kids, ages 2 and 4.
While MSP officials have not confirmed many details, they did say one person has been taken into custody in connection with the crash. Additional details, including the charges, will be released following that person’s arraignment, MSP officials said.
