A man was arrested on suspicion of a robbery Thursday afternoon in Spring Valley after a vehicle pursuit.
Law enforcement had been actively looking for the suspect when deputies saw him driving in Spring Valley near Grand Avenue and Piedmont Street. They began a traffic stop, but he proceeded to drive through several stop signs and on the wrong side of the road, said the news release on Friday.
The suspect and his companion fled the car at the end of the pursuit near Ivanhoe Street and Omega Street, and deputies set a perimeter as a helicopter arrived, according to the release. The pair were located and taken into custody, with no injuries reported.
The original suspect was taken to San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of robbery and other criminal violations. The other person was taken to Las Colinas jail on drug possession charges.
