THE PUBLIC UNTIL TOMORROW MORNING. AND NEW THIS MORNING. AN INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY INTO A STABBING IN SACRAMENTO. OFFICERS WENT TO ATLAS AVENUE NEAR FRANKLIN BOULEVARD AROUND 1030 LAST NIGHT. THEY FOUND A PERSON WHO WAS STABBED AT LEAST ONCE. WE ASKED POLICE FOR MORE INFORMATION ON BOTH THE VICTIM AND THE SUSPECT. WE’RE TOLD NO MORE INFORMATION
A 51-year-old Sacramento man has been arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing in June. Officers responded to Atlas Avenue near Franklin Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. on June 25 and found a man who had been stabbed at least once. He later died at the hospital. Sacramento police said Friday that Ricardo Barraza was arrested in connection with the homicide. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on Thursday. Police said the suspect and victim were cousins.
