Person taken to hospital after truck collides with SacRT train

A person was taken to the hospital after their pickup truck was struck by a train in Sacramento County, according to the sheriff’s office. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said the truck went around a crossing arm and got in the path of the Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) train. SacRT said the crash was in between its Cordova Town Center and Sunrise Boulevard stations on the Gold Line. There was only one person on the train at the time of the crash and they were not injured, officials said. According to the sheriff’s office, the extent of the truck driver’s injuries are still unknown.
