Three people who died when a vehicle crashed off a highway near Saratoga last week were identified Thursday by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Manjot Singh Dhaliwal, 21 of Yuba City, Ajesh Singh Saini, 27 of Salem, Oregon, and Ranvir Singh Randhawa, 17 of San Jose, were identified as the victims of the June 22 collision off Highway 9 near Saratoga.
At 9:36 p.m. that day, the California Highway Patrol responded to a report of a collision on the highway west of Redwood Gulch Road. A preliminary investigation determined that a 2024 BMW was heading east when Dhaliwal lost control as the driver and the vehicle went down a steep embankment.
Highway 9 was shut down for several hours after the crash for officers to investigate and recover the car.
