The Great American Kids’ Bike Parade returned to Belmont Shore for the 22nd year to help kids, families and residents celebrate the Fourth of July.
Hundreds of children from across Long Beach participated in the event, donning their best red, white and blue outfits, with their bikes outfitted with similarly patriotic flare.

The Saturday, July 4, event, organized by Justin Rudd’s Community Action Team, encouraged kids and adults alike to join in on the fun — for a chance to win a cash prize. Parade entry fees for adults were also waived for those who brought canned food donations, which will be distributed to homeless people in Long Beach, according to the event’s website.
The Community Action Team puts on many other events in Long Beach throughout the year, including monthly beach clean-ups, the Belmont Shore Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest, the Turkey Trot, the Bulldog Beauty Contest and the Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade, among others.
