(FOX 5/KUSI) — The largest fireworks show on the West Coast will light up the San Diego sky on July 4, and this year’s edition is even more special as the United States celebrates 250 years.
The Big Bay Boom is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of people to watch the fireworks in person, and many more will be watching on television or via streaming.
FOX 5 has a special show starting at 8 p.m. that will include the fireworks and music, and will be viewable on television in the San Diego area and from anywhere in the United States on our free streaming TV app, FOX 5 KUSI Now.

The special show will include a performance of the national anthem from the Hotel Del Coronado, honors for several military families and the complete fireworks show as they launch over San Diego Bay at 9:15 p.m.
FOX 5’s parent company, Nexstar, will also host a show featuring the fireworks, which will be televised on stations across the country.
People watching the fireworks in person can hear the music on the radio via 91X FM.
Some of the best viewing areas include the San Diego and Coronado waterfronts, Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Liberty Station, the Marina District, and, of course, many people will head out onto their boats to view the show from the water.
