Re “Junior livestock show is no longer special” (July 2): Pat Baker is right about the livestock show. Other than frilly pigeons and one cow lying down chewing its cud, the livestock I found was limited to goats that were nearly protected from fairgoers’ inquisitive eyes. The one horse was a Western store statue. Animals and their young handlers are the best part of the fair. Please expand their participation.
