A massive tree fell across a steep block of San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood on Tuesday evening, crushing an Amazon delivery van and damaging nearby vehicles, authorities said.
The tree, roughly 30 feet tall, came down on Sacramento Street between Jones and Leavenworth streets, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
The impact ripped down overhead Muni wires and ruptured a water main, sending water gushing into the street as firefighters worked to clear the debris.

No injuries were immediately reported. Officials did not say what caused the tree to fall.
Crews from multiple city agencies were dispatched to secure the area, reroute traffic, and assess damage to nearby infrastructure.
The fallen tree sprawled across both lanes of Sacramento Street, pinning the delivery van and a parked sedan beneath a dense tangle of branches.
Officials urged the public to stay clear of the area.
