13 SacRT light rail stations to temporarily close due to construction

Temporary closures at 13 SacRT light rail stations will begin Thursday, causing several disruptions for local riders. The stations will be closed due to station platform construction at the 8th and O station in downtown Sacramento, SacRT said. According to SacRT, the following stations will be closed from Thursday to Sunday: Globe (Open headed outbound and bus bridge connection point)Alkali Flat/La Valentina12th and ICathedral Square (10th and K and 11th and K)9th and K Sacramento Valley Station7th and Capitol8th and Capitol8th and K 8th and H (County Center)7th and I (County Center)8th and OArchives Plaza13th Street (open outbound and bus bridge connection point) Shuttle buses will pick up and drop off riders near each affected station. Click here to view schedules for the shuttle buses. Shuttle buses will run every 20 to 30 minutes. Some stations will operate on both the Blue and Gold lines in the downtown area this weekend. The Blue Line bus bridge will be between 13th Street and Globe Station. The Gold Line bus bridge will travel between 13th Street Station and Sacramento Valley Station. The stations will be closed due to station platform construction at the 8th and O station in downtown Sacramento, SacRT said.
According to SacRT, the following stations will be closed from Thursday to Sunday:
