TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Three people were taken into custody early Wednesday after they fled from a crash in the Oakland neighborhood of northeast Topeka, authorities said.
The incident began when officers attempted to pull over a vehicle around 2 a.m. Wednesday near S.E. 6th Avenue and Branner Street.
The vehicle didn’t stop for officers and continued traveling north on Branner.

The vehicle then crashed in the area of N.E. Seward Avenue and Branner.
Authorities said three people got out of the vehicle and ran from the scene before they were captured a short time later.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
