FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Travelers flying out of Fresno Yosemite International Airport will soon be able to park without pulling a ticket, or stopping at a payment kiosk.
Starting July 14, the airport will launch a contactless parking system through Metropolis.
The system uses license plate recognition to automatically process payments while drivers enter and exit airport parking lots.
Travelers can register through the Metropolis app, online or by scanning a QR code at parking lot entrances. Airport officials say cash payments will continue to be accepted through a designated lane, with staff on site to assist travelers and process transactions.
Airport officials said the upgrade is part of the airport’s ongoing modernization following the completion of the FATforward expansion project. Fresno Yosemite International served a record 2.7 million passengers in 2025.
