In Woodland Hills, Danny Boy’s serves the same menu as its other locations, with appetizers that include oversized garlic knots, Buffalo wings, and beef and pork meatballs. Pizzas — available by the slice or full pie — span classics like thin-crust cheese, pepperoni, and meatball, as well as Sicilian pepperoni and gluten-free Sicilian. Specialty pizzas topped with sausage, peppers, and onion; a medley of vegetables; or Buffalo chicken only come as a whole pie. Meatball and chicken Parmesan sandwiches are also available, plus a handful of salads including a Caesar and Greek. For now, Danny Boy’s Woodland Hills is operating limited hours from Monday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with expanded hours coming soon.

Cult-favorite cheesecake shop Cheesesteaks by Matū, from the team behind Matū and Matū Kai, will open its latest location at the Calabasas Commons on July 14. The shop will serve its signature wagyu cheesesteak topped with Cooper Sharp cheese, a long hot pepper, and grilled onions, accompanied by chips.

Hitching Post 2, one of the Central Coast’s enduring barbecue destinations, will host a Santa Maria–style barbecue master class and dinner event on August 2 at its Buellton restaurant. The Santa Maria barbecue class, which focuses on fire management, oak wood selection, and the preparation of cuts such as rib eye and top sirloin, will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in a tent behind the property. Attendees will also have access to wine pairings and a full barbecue buffet. Pricing starts at $85 per person; tickets can be purchased from OpenTable Experiences.
