It was a beanbag bonanza.
The IMA Foundation hosted its annual Throw Down Cornhole Tournament, with more than 125 teams competing on Thursday, July 9, at LA Center Studios.
Organizers projected that the showdown would raise more than $250,000 for California nonprofit organizations.
The fundraiser supports programs focused on economic empowerment, including financial literacy, education and workforce development, along with community resiliency efforts such as emergency preparedness and public infrastructure projects, contact says.
Participating nonprofit organizations included Latinos in Insurance Networking for Our Community, SoLA Foundation and ReIGNITE Hope, as well as many others.
One thing was for certain: It was a hole lot of fun.
