SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A pickup driver has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after crashing into a big rig early Thursday morning.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash at the intersection of Walerga and Elverta roads around 4:30 a.m.
The big rig jackknifed, blocking multiple lanes and causing fuel to leak onto the roadway. A hazmat team is performing cleanup, CHP said.
The driver of the pickup complained of pain, but suffered no serious injury, according to law enforcement.
