Evacuation orders were issued near Llano in northern LA County after the fast-moving Summit Fire was reported Friday afternoon.
The brush fire burning near the LA and San Bernardino County border scorched at least 800 acres as of Friday afternoon, according to the LA County Office of Emergency Management.
The evacuation orders affected the neighborhoods near East Avenue Z and Fort Tejon Road.
Flames have not reached the National Forest, but fire crews were concerned about an immediate threat, LA County said.
This is a developing story.
