Amber alert issued for abducted 3-year-old out of California City, suspect considered ‘armed and dangerous’

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Authorities issued an Amber Alert Friday night for an abducted 3-year-old out of California City by a 31-year-old woman.

Officials are asking for help to locate Emaria Peel, 3, who was last seen with Charnay McLin, 31, at Redwood Boulevard and 83rd Street in California City at around 7:17 p.m., the alert read.

The California Highway Patrol issued the Amber alert on behalf of the California City Police Department at around 8:45 p.m. Friday.

Emaria Peel is described as having black hair and brown eyes. McLin is described as being 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

McLin is believed to driving a 2021 gold-colored KIA Sorrento with a California license plate 36095DV.

The alert was also issued for Riverside and Los Angeles counties.

Anyone with information or sees the two is asked to call 911.
