(WXYZ) — The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said two people sustained injuries after a reported shooting at Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall in Auburn Hills on Saturday.

“We just heard a lot of commotion, a lot of people running, was hearing things getting pushed over, just everybody frantically screaming, people were pulling their kids out of the strollers, “ said Alexis Cook, who was working at the time of the incident.

2 injured in shooting at Great Lakes Crossing

The sheriff’s office said the suspect is in custody and there is no threat to the public.

Multiple posts on social media said that the mall was evacuated due to the shooting.

“There is no danger to the public at this time. Deputies remain on scene assisting with the ongoing investigation,” the sheriff’s office said.
