The CaddyHack Golf Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Monday, Aug. 3, at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. Known as “the funnest round of golf on the planet,” CaddyHack has become one of Southern California’s most unique charity events, raising more than $2.5 million over the past decade to support Boys to Men Mentoring and the thousands of boys the organization serves throughout San Diego County.
This year’s event will feature entertainment from 25 live bands, activations and contests on every hole, and more than 40 food and beverage vendors. Golfers are encouraged to come dressed in loud and wacky outfits to take part in one wild and fun round of golf. Every year, event founder and local native Ernie Hahn dresses up like the character Judge Smails from “Caddyshack”.
The event will again return to Fairbanks Ranch, the club where Hahn worked as a caddy one summer in high school.

“This event has always been about more than golf,” said Hahn in a news release. “CaddyHack represents community, belonging, and showing up for the next generation. Celebrating 10 years is a testament to every sponsor, volunteer, golfer, donor and mentor who has helped make this movement possible.”
According to the news release, the 10th annual CaddyHack is expected to be the largest in the event’s history, honoring a decade of impact while raising critical funds to expand mentoring programs to reach young boys in crisis.
The milestone event will feature support and participation from local and national brands, including partners such as Cuttlefish, Agramont Worldwide Logistics Inc., Sycuan Casino Resort, Ernie and the Jett, Kaiser Permanente, Whiting-Turner, Monarch Ocean Pub, Ponces, Dang Brother Pizza and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream.
