The California Highway Patrol Monday activated a Silver Alert to help the Los Angeles Police Department locate an at-risk 85-year-old woman last seen in Koreatown.

Youngja Choi was last seen at about 5 p.m. Sunday at West Ninth Street and South Gramercy Drive, according to the CHP.

Choi is Asian, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 100 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes, wearing a gray coat and black jeans.

She was believed to be on foot, the CHP said.

Anyone with information on Choi’s whereabouts was asked to call 911.

The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at-risk to help locate them more quickly.
