16-year-old last seen in SE Bakersfield found: Bakersfield PD

UPDATE: A missing 16-year-old boy last seen on South Tulare Street has been found as of Monday, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help in finding a 16-year-old boy at risk who went missing Monday morning.

Samuel Matthew Lara was last seen at around 9 a.m. July 13 in the 1000 block of South Tulare Street, according to BPD.

He is considered to be at risk due to being a first-time runaway, as well as his medical issues, officials said.

Police described Lara as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray shirt and black pants, carrying a black backpack.
