Re “Petulant city closes Mission Bay bathrooms to punish tax-weary residents” (July 10): Maintain Mission Bay!
Mission Bay is beautiful and well used by residents and tourists alike. But the city’s poor fiscal decision-makers have initiated a reduction in services that closed 13 bathrooms and threatens the cleanliness and sanitation of our park. City leaders need to prioritize basic janitorial services and keep bathrooms open and trash removed throughout the park during peak season. We can expect the same number of visitors and therefore need the same amount of labor to keep our park clean. There is plenty of other wasteful government spending to cut. Don’t cut off the care and maintenance of Mission Bay!
