BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 19-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing two, killing one in southwest Bakersfield early Monday morning.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 4:30 a.m., deputies were called to the 4500 block of Frazier Avenue for a stabbing that had just happened.
When deputies arrived, they found two men with injuries.
KCSO said both were taken to the hospital for treatment.

One victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the man killed as 20-year-old Delingo Agustin Galvan, Jr. of Bakersfield. The coroner’s report said he died at 5:15 a.m.
KCSO confirmed one person, identified as 19-year-old Donte Carney, was arrested for first-degree murder and attempted murder.
