PG&E warns of possible PSPS outages in Monterey and San Benito counties
SALINAS, Calif. —
PG&E says that due to continued high fire danger conditions, it is monitoring potential Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) for parts of California, including portions of the Central Coast.
According to PG&E, some customers in several counties could be affected by planned shutoffs on Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, due to high winds and dry conditions.

PG&E said specific addresses, maps, and shutoff details are typically available about two days before a shutoff. To see if your home may be impacted, click here.
What customers should know
PG&E urges customers to prepare in advance in case power is turned off. Public Safety Power Shutoffs are used to help reduce the risk of wildfires during dangerous weather conditions.
If a shutoff occurs, PG&E says power will remain off until weather conditions improve and crews can inspect lines and equipment to make sure it is safe to restore service.
As of yet, no resource centers have been set up for customers who may lose power in South Monterey and San Benito counties.
