See the latest injury update for Kings center Domantas Sabonis, who is dealing with a rib issue ahead of Wednesday’s game vs. the Warriors.

Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis entered Wednesday with a questionable designation on the NBA injury report. As of this afternoon though, he’s been downgraded to out against the Golden State Warriors.

The big man came back sooner than expected from a hamstring issue and has played all but the Kings’ first game this season. After playing 37 minutes last night, a ribcage contusion will now keep him sidelined tonight.

The Kings have ruled out Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine tonight against the Warriors. Both teams without big names.

While his scoring output remains the lowest since the 2019-20 campaign with just 14.5 PPG, Sabonis still anchors the paint as a key member of this Sacramento roster. He’s pulling down an NBA-best 14.2 rebounds per night while dishing out 4.0 assists as well. His absence leaves some big shoes to fill in the Kings’ frontcourt. Veteran Drew Eubanks likely slots in as the starting center without the Lithuanian in the lineup, though Precious Achiuwa could see some additional work at the five as well.

The Kings are just 2-5 on the young season but have a decent chance to come out on top tonight despite the statuses of Sabonis and fellow star Zach LaVine (out, back). Stephen Curry (illness) is out while Jimmy Butler (back) is questionable, so there’s no shortage of injuries for both sides. DraftKings Sportsbook lists Sacramento as -2.5 favorites with -135 odds to win on the Moneyline.
