GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Greenville County is sharing early design ideas for a new park in Simpsonville, and leaders want to hear what residents think.
The park would stand on the property formerly known as Oakland Plantation on Adams Mill Road. The land has ties to Native American history, and officials say the project would be the county’s first new park in more than 15 years.

The county says the park is envisioned as a welcoming landscape with spaces for walking, relaxation and connecting with nature.
This spring, county leaders met with community members to hear how residents hope to use the space. Now, they’re asking for more feedback as they present several design concepts.
