Los Angeles just picked up another major win for its food scene. The Best Pizza Selection 2026 has officially been announced, and two L.A. pizza makers made this year’s global list. (And it’s not the first time!)

William Joo of Pizzeria Sei came in at No. 54, while Justin De Leon of Apollonia’s Pizzeria earned the No. 76 spot.

The annual pizza ranking recognizes some of the world’s top pizza chefs. It’s another big moment for two restaurants that locals have been loving for years.

Pizzeria Sei is not your average pizza joint. Chef William Joo has become known for his Tokyo-style take on Neapolitan pizza, blending classic Italian techniques with the precision of Japanese cooking.

The pizzas are light, airy, chewy in all the right ways, and made with dough that’s been carefully developed to create incredible flavor and texture.

It’s not just Pizzeria Sei celebrating. Apollonia’s Pizzeria also landed on this year’s list, with chef Justin De Leon earning the No. 76 spot.

Apollonia’s famous square slices have built a loyal following thanks to its crispy frico edges, airy crust, and seriously flavorful pies.

L.A.’s pizza scene just keeps getting hotter

Between Pizzeria Sei’s Tokyo-inspired Neapolitan pies and Apollonia’s famous square slices, Los Angeles is proving there’s no single way to make incredible pizza. And with both chefs earning spots on The Best Pizza Selection 2026, the city’s pizza scene is getting plenty of well-deserved international attention.
