Re “San Diego spending $2.2M to upgrade alley near Santa Fe Depot” (July 8): So now our mayor and City Council are spending $2.2 million on “improving a pedestrian passageway” downtown when about one-fourth of that amount would open the 13 Mission Bay restrooms closed this month.
I believe the short-sighted folks at City Hall are going to find that it is far less expensive to have open restrooms than to do cleanup when people do not have restrooms!
