The 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics are now two years away, and things are already taking shape from the West Coast to Texas.

Dallas Wings All-Star Paige Bueckers is a 2028 Team USA hopeful. Bueckers has played for the Junior national team and made her Senior team debut earlier this year. She also competed with the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics 3×3 basketball team. The women’s team is seeking its ninth straight Gold Medal – a streak that started at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. This is the first Summer Olympics hosted by the United States since ’96.

Major League Baseball has envisioned an extended 11-day All-Star break. The last regular-season games before the break would be on July 9, followed by the All-Star Game on July 11, likely at San Francisco, and the Olympic tournament at Dodger Stadium from July 13-19. The season would resume July 21.
